Glamazons,
Seriously, I curse the day that retailers came up with the genius idea of collaborating with high-end designers on capsule collections. They’re SO hard to resist because they are limited-edition and only happen once and realistically, when else will you get a chance to own an item from [enter high end luxury designer name here]? Well, besides on Rent The Runway and at sample sales. So you kind of have no choice but to go and shop for your life, right? Right.
So I’m gearing up for the Prabal Gurung for Target shopping event without an ounce of shame. This Target collection is one of the most gorgeous I’ve seen from masstige lines in a long time. And that’s no surprise: because Prabal Gurung is a masterful genius at carving out the perfect dress shapes, inventing beautiful prints and weaving in bright colors. When I tell you, this collection will BE my Spring wardrobe.
Here are the six things I NEED from the line (and so glad I cut it down to only 6!):
1 – This is the wedding guest, date night, graduation attendee dress of my wildest dreams. Price: $50.
2 – Long live neon sandals! The simple single strap design against that bold color just sends me, Glamazons. I will pair it with everything from the dress in #1 to a relaxed white tank and slouchy black pants. I NEED. Price: $40.
3 – Same for these colorblock white and black wedges! I already have an outfit (a pair of printed pants and a peplum top) that needs these shoes. So sophisticated and sleek. Price: $30
4 – I only wear sweatshirts out when they look like this. The digital print is so cool and modern, it looks like it costs a million bucks. Price: $30.
5 – This floral print peplum top is such a beauty – from the contrast of the black neckline and white color to the floral pattern that starts faintly at the top of the blouse and builds up around the flared bottom. This with all black everything (including the shades) and a red lip and you can’t tell me a thing. Price: $30.
6 – I obviously can’t get through next Spring/Summer without one pair of colorful pumps. This print is perfect to give my Michelle Obama-inspired solid color sheath and A-line dresses a little flair. Price: $40.
LOVE it all!
As always, I’ll give you guys the tea from the dressing room and what actually fit. I’ll be bringing in two sizes each after my last dressing room debacle (tear).
