Glamazons,
I’m partial to the Summer (good weather, pool parties, vacations!) but nothing compares to Fall fashion. That’s why, despite my better judgment, I’m sort of wishing for the cool temperatures of September to set in just so I can wear Phillip Lim for Target.
The collection, which hits stores September 15 and ranges from from $20 to $300, is pretty genius. It blends Phillip Lim‘s penchant for structured silhouettes and impeccable tailoring with playful trends like tuxedo-style suits and leather paneling — not-to-mention the charming camo, cartoon and leopard prints. The satchels are especially luxurious and modern, and I can’t wait to throw the camo bookbag over my all black ensembles this season.
According to Fashionista, the collection of lasting wardrobe staples is separated into three sections: morning, noon and night. It’s also tailor-made for someone on the go, which perfectly describes every Glamazon I’ve ever met.
Here are my faves:
1. Leopard Dress (Price not yet announced)
I’m a leopard fanatic so I’m here for the new iteration of the classic animal print, which incorporates colors and oversized spots. This dress comes in a pretty mustard hue (glows against the skin, hunny!) and ruching in all the right places. YES!
2. Camo Bookbag (Price Not Yet Announced)
Speaking of prints, I love this camo bookbag so much I don’t care that it’s being billed in the lookbook as a Mens bag. It’s gritty yet sleek which makes it the perfect piece for me to rock while traipsing through the NYC streets. Love.
3. Sweatshirt in Boom Print ($30)
I just have to take the time to thank the Fashion Gods that graphics from Phillip Lim‘s eponymous line were recreated for Target at an affordable price point.
I never thought I’d see the day when I could own a version of the adorable cartoon sweatshirt seen on Beyonce (since I have to budget and all…ugh) but the popular style showed up in their Target collection. It’s a style miracle!
4. Yellow Satchel (Price Not Yet Announced)
Can you even believe a satchel so elegantly crafted and designed found its way to Target? I love everything about this bag and though the price isn’t public yet, anything under $100 is a certified steal (and reportedly, the accessories range from $20 to $60). The bright yellow color is the icing on the cake.
5. Dress with Faux Leather in Navy/Black ($50)
I love leather just like the next Glamazon, but it’s hard to embrace the second skin material and not look, well, like a dominatrix. This mashup of a navy dress with leather panels is ladylike with just a hint of sexy. Sign me up.
6. Brown Satchel (Price Not Yet Announced)
This bag just screams luxury to me from the rusty brown color to the simple details. This is my new everyday bag for Fall.
7. Tuxedo Jacket and Pants in Navy/Black ($60; $40)
I rarely shy away from trends but I was apprehensive about trying out the head-to-toe tuxedo look until this find. It fits perfectly (on the model, fingers crossed it works for me!) and the navy hue with black lapels is so sexy and bold. Red lips, black pointy pumps and this look will slay!
