I live for a good mashup between street art and fashion, and the iconic works of Keith Haring and Jean-Michel Basquiat top my list.

Both artists have such a distinct and innovative aesthetic that you recognize their work immediately whether it’s at an exhibit at the Brooklyn Museum or Whitney Museum of American Art. Forever 21 is paying tribute to both these brilliant men with their new artist series, inspired by Haring and Basquiat‘s signature pieces.

Online and in stores today, the limited-edition capsule collection aims to celebrate street culture and introduce the new generation to the work of these extraordinary ’80s artists. It includes everything from crop tops to muscle tees to dresses. Naturally, I want it all but here are 3 things that top my list.
1. Forever 21 x Keith Haring Miniskirt, $12.80
Guys, this is my Brooklyn summer dream piece. I’m seeing visions of chambray shirts and white stiletto sandals…or a slouchy white tank and royal blue gladiator flats. It’s too perfect!
2. Forever 21 x Jean-Michel Basquiat T-Rex Tank, $13.80
Behold: the perfect tank to go under a red blazer and with boyfriend jeans. It’s a great conversation starter and since the word “Basquiat,” isn’t featured prominently, people have to know (and appreciate) his work to recognize it. I’m here for that.
3. Forever 21 x Keith Haring CutOut Dress, $15.80
I couldn’t decide which piece with this print I love most (it also comes in a crop top and bodysuit) but the dress is great to dress down under a denim jacket and with flats. It feels so Los Angeles to me, and the print is bold, playful and instantly recognizable.
