I literally just landed in New York City after a whirlwind weekend in New Orleans for our second annual #NolaCrawl at Essence Festival. Where do I begin? Every year, I have such a good time that I couldn’t even imagine ever missing a festival again. But this time around was super special because of our first-ever #NolaCrawl event, the Prince concert and also, some really fascinating tidbits I learned about the city of New Orleans itself (stay tuned for additional posts on all these things, by the way). One of the highlights of the crawl was the Eden Bodyworks #CelebrateMyBeauty event I told you about here.

Let me explain why I loved it: Essence Festival is so crazy and fast-paced for us #NolaCrawl-ers that you’re literally running from event to concert to party without a chance to breathe and unwind. The Eden Bodyworks #CelebrateMyBeauty event offered us a much-needed reprieve.
Since it was all about inner and outer beauty, there were manicures and makeup stations…
next to massage stations and smoothie booths!
They even had a photo booth for pictures once we got all dolled up!

I’ve found myself being much more health-conscious since going natural and that’s one of the many reasons I love Eden Bodyworks products: they’re all natural.
Another reason? My HAIR loves their products and I get the perfect twist out or braid out using their peppermint tea tree hair milk or coconut shea curl defining cream every time!

Since I just bought my own Nutribullet, I loved that they had recipes including “The Refresher” green smoothie created using fresh ingredients from the Backyard Gardeners Network in New Orleans:
And the best part is that I finally got to meet Jasmine Lawrence, the brilliant mind behind Eden Bodyworks who founded the company when she was just 13. She addressed the crowd about how excited she is to celebrate 10 years of Eden Bodyworks (she actually started creating products for friends and never imagined she’d have a successful hair brand one day). She also told us how important it is to take care of yourself inside and out.
I couldn’t agree more! Since I went natural, started doing yoga regularly and eating better (thanks to my #FabFit diet and Nutribullet smoothies!), I’ve started to see positive changes in my energy level, my body and my general disposition.

When you’re at peace spiritually, eating healthy food, staying physically active and using hair products that are all natural and actually good for your hair, you just emanate beauty inside and out. I’m all about that!
