I normally don’t pull out my laptop on Saturday night to write about fashion but this news calls for an exception: Alexander Wang is the latest designer to create a collection for H&M. *Squeal*
Yes, I’m talking about thee Alexander Wang whose edgy separates, duffel bags with studs flanking the bottom and Parental Advisory shirts are the stuff of legend.
I’m so hoping all these pieces inspire the line!
Taking a cue from Beyonce‘s surprise album, Wang announced the news via Instagram tonight at midnight with his first-ever post: an Instavideo clip with a ticker that pauses on the timestamp 11:06 (which we believe means it will hit stores on November 6th). Let the countdown begin!

Wang had this to say about his new venture: “I am honored to be a part of H&M’s designer collaborations. The work with their team is an exciting, fun process. They are very open to push boundaries and to set a platform for creativity. This will be a great way for a wider audience to experience elements of the Alexander Wang brand and lifestyle.”
And apparently the announcement time isn’t so random — we hear that a secret Coachella bash in honor of #AlexanderWangxHM is happening right now. Of course, our invites were lost in the mail (#shade) but we’ll be first in line to scoop up the collection of apparel and accessories for men and women when it launches in 250 H&M stores worldwide and online on November 6th.
