Glamazons,
I always think of Los Angeles as a glamorous city and my whirlwind trip there last week (which lasted for a total of 24 hours) was exactly that. I was invited to attend “An Evening of Style” event hosted by Nia Long, Lincoln Motor Company and Automotive Rhythms. As soon as I stepped foot onto the palm tree-lined street at the airport, I was greeted by a Lincoln representative who drove us to our hotel in the Lincoln MKZ. Is this real life?

My stay at the Hollywood Roosevelt was like a dream (more on this later) but the highlight of the trip was the stylish main event, held at Hollywood’s famed Siren Studios.
The swanky fête featured models wearing Kas Collection, a high-end luxury clothing line headed by principal designer, Kenny “KAS” Flanagan, the first African-American male couture designer to sell his collection at Saks Fifth Avenue.
After checking out the gorgeous models and the Lincoln MKZ, we headed over to the red carpet to catch up with some of our faves.
Kel Mitchell was there (and seeing him prompted us to sing the theme song from Nickelodeon‘s “All That”). He told me he has a new film called “Who Can I Run To?” coming out with Jessica Reedy and Lil Mo and a new cartoon “Wild Grinder” on Nick Toons. He’s just as silly in person as you’d imagine.
Pooch Hall took over the red carpet, talking selfies, jumping in people’s interviews and just being his fun-loving self. He’s hilarious! Raise your hand if you miss him on “The Game.” *raises both arms*
But the star of the night was undoubtedly host Nia Long. She looked elegant and trendy in a Mason by Michelle Mason dress and Saint Laurent ankle strap pumps:
So cute! “The Best Man Holiday” star posed with her best friend, TV Personality Daphne Wayans:
And even took a flick on the red carpet with yours truly:
She was so sweet! She told us she has a weakness for luxury (don’t we all?!) and that’s why she loves the elegant and sleek Lincoln MKC, which I went equally crazy over at the big reveal in New York City.

She gushed about the car with Lincoln MKC Brand Manager Jeff Reid and Automotive Rhythms president and publisher Kimatni Rawlins.
Jeff Reid also spoke with me on the red carpet about the beautiful new ride.
He said: “Fashion is a passion point for the Lincoln consumer and it fits with the Lincoln brand because we place a heavy focus on design. The Lincoln split-wing grille, for example, is a new feature on the MKC, which is going to be a hallmark of our brand from here on out. It just embodies luxury.”
It was luxurious, indeed. The car took the glamour of the evening up another notch. Clearly, I was loving it!
You guys remember when I gushed about the Lincoln MKC‘s cool tech capabilities like the app (which can start the car remotely) and key FOB recognition (it detects your key FOB when you’re in close vicinity of the car and welcomes you with signature lighting. Very sci-fi).
Well, the event was tech-savvy as well with this cool screen that showed all the Instagram pictures we posted using the hashtag #LincolnJourney or #Automotive Rhythms:
Nia and I made it up on the screen! #GAG
Besides checking out the car, chatting with Nia and taking flix for Instagram, we also enjoyed a live performance by Soul, Funk & Rock Band Black WAAT3R. I LOVED their cover of “Come Together.”
It was such an exciting night, that ended with a ride back to our beautiful hotel in a Lincoln:
Love that it matched my outfit (lol). I wore an ASOS t-shirt in leather look panel (gold), Urban Outfitters black leather skirt, Zara ankle strap pumps and an H&M blazer.
For some extra color, I rocked MAC Cosmetics ‘Cyber’ on the lips:
Later, I learned Nia rode the Lincoln MKZ that night, too. She looks good in that car!
So much fun, Glamazons! Check out my post on the Lincoln MKC here and read more about all the new offerings from Lincoln Motor Company here.
Kisses,
Glamazon Jessica
