Glamazons, remember all the backlash about Fashion’s Night Out? That basically it’s a place folks go to drink, celebrity stalk and not really shop (though isn’t shopping, like, the point?). Well, it’s not going to stop Anna Wintour and company from planning another “Fashion Halloween” complete with a mob of zombies running rampant through the streets for a sight of a celebrity face (remember the riot at the Dash store?).
With an official date of September 6th, FNO is just around the corner! If you dare trek through the crowd of fashion crazies, I have found the hottest places and events to check out—whether you’re looking for celeb sightings, freebies or just fashion! Lets get started!
For Celeb Sightings:
—Lord & Taylor / 424 Fifth Avenue
Kimye sighting! Kim Kardashian has a fragrance to sell and that means she’ll be making an appearance at Fashion’s Night Out, maybe even with her other half, Kanye West. Get ready for a mob of Kimye fans to descend over Lord & Taylor, flashing cell phone cameras in hand for a sight of the twosome. Attend at your own risk.
—Macy’s / 151 West 34th Street
Macy’s will turn into the set of a reality TV show with “Keeping up with the Kardashians” star Scott Disick hosting a cigar rolling class (sigh), “Fashion Star” alum Caprice Willard and Kara Laricks having a kiki, Michael Kors of “Project Runway” playing fashion trivia, Bethenny Frankel, well, being Bethenny and Clinton Kelly of “What Not To Wear” sharing style tips. It’ll feel like you walked into your television.
—DVF / 874 Washington Street
Get your mug beat with MAC makeup artists, fortune read by fortune tellers and style upgraded by Vogue editors all while dancing to tunes spun by Solange Knowles. We went last year and had a blast!
—Piperlime / 121 Wooster Street
Rachel Zoe will “die” over fall’s hottest trends right in front of your face! Plus get a sighting of Angela Simmons‘ Dad, Rev Run on the 1’s and 2’s.
—Cesare Paciotti / 833 Madison Avenue
Remember Mya? No shade, that was my girl! *does the “All About Me” bodyroll.*
Mingle with the beautiful Grammy Award-winning recording artist as you sip on a “Paciotti” (not the shoe, but the signature cocktail) and nibble on macaroons.
—What Goes Around Comes Around / 351 West Broadway
Are you a hipster that misses episodes of “The Hills”? Head over to WGACA to see Whitney Port and Anna Sheffield of Bing Bing present their vintage-y, chic new collections.
—MAC Soho / 506 Broadway
Azealia Banks will be performing and undoubtedly whipping her glorious long weave at the MAC store in Soho from 7PM – 10PM. Van VOGUE!
For Freebies/Contests:
—Saks Fifth Avenue / 611 Fifth Avenue
Get your bangs trimmed with Erin Fetherston (who has THEE best bangs) by Edward Tricomi of Warren Tricomi. There will be Minx nails and what I’m sure are incredible printed manis by the Suno designers (you’ve seen their prints, right?). Plus the glamazing Tom Pecheux (above) will be doing make-up. Go and get your life!
—Forever 21 / 50 West 34th Street
Head over to the place where I spent all my college job paychecks: Forever 21. The first 300 customers to spend $40 or more will receive a “Love & Beauty” set inspired by the Fall lookbook! Nice!
—BCBG / 461 Fifth Avenue
Get the chance to win an $1,000 BCBG wardrobe by hitting the store and getting styled in their finest threads. Seriously, you’ll be dripping in BCBG from head-to-toe. Post your styled out look on Instagram using the hashtag #BCBGFNO to enter the contest.
—Alexis Bittar SoHo / 465 Broome St., at Greene St.
Snag a $50 gift certificate for being brave enough to step to the mic at this karaoke party. Extra if you can do a perfect Beyonce “Single Ladies” rendition. Kidding about that last part.
For Fashion Lovers:
—Balenciaga / 542 West 22nd Street
If you faint and get all shaky inside at the thought of being in the same room as Vogue editrix Grace Coddington, head to Balenciaga where she’ll debut (hopefully in person!) her limited edition collection of accessories with the brand, featuring sketches of her cat, Pumpkin. SQUEAL!
—Bloomingdale’s / 1000 Third Avenue
Meet wunderkind designer Carmen Marc Valvo and enter for a chance to win one of his fahbulous purrfect brilliant exclusive Fall fur statement pieces. Whoever snags this is the luckiest Glamazon ever ever ever.
—New York & Company / 715 Lexington Avenue
Get styled by Stacy London and her team from “Style to Hire” with the Fall collection from New York & Co. No, you can’t walk away with any of the clothes but you do get a chance to purchase her latest book “The Truth About Style” before it hits the book stores.
—DKNY / 655 Madison Avenue
Are you into fashion for a cause? If so, you’re going to lurve the FEED x DKNY collection, presented by Lauren Bush Lauren (lol, love saying that) and bubbly, of course.
