Glamazons,
I can’t explain why but suddenly, I have a thing for waves. Retro red carpet-worthy waves, beachy waves — you name it, I want to try it. (Maybe it’s because my new extensions are perfect for it!). Needless to say, I was literally swooning over the hair at the Target Fashion Show: all wavy everything!
The models’ soft, romantic waves were so luxurious and pretty — the perfect style for everything from red carpet events to first dates.
And the look is super easy to recreate (seriously, even I can do it).
Hairstylists started by blow drying the hair straight with a Toni&Guy hair dryer:
Then, creating barrel curls with a Toni&Guy 1-1/4″ curling iron:
And pin curling the hair throughout:
The final look: romantic, retro, Hollywood waves. So gorgeous!
After the show, I was inspired to try waves (but more of the beachy kind because it works better on textured hair. Well, that and I miss summer).
To get the look, I do wand curls using Toni&Guy 1-1/4″ curling iron.
Then, I spray my hair with Toni&Guy Sea Salt Texturising Spray. It gives my hair just enough body but I really love it because it provides hold and is light enough that my hair still has movement.
I just spray it evenly over my entire head and it creates these messy, effortless waves. Then, I work it through from the roots of my hair to the ends with my fingers. Done and done!
At night, I braid my hair in two big braids to keep the waves defined and the next day, it’s even more messy and tousled. Love it!
What do you think of my look? Are you into waves too for Fall?

P.S. How much do you love my Phillip Lim for Target dress? I rocked it with a neon beaded necklace at Fashion Week. Stay tuned for an outfit post!
