Glamazons,
Spring is officially in full swing! And that means one thing: time to break out the season’s vast assortment of fabulous Spring shoe trends. They are my weakness. I never feel like an outfit is complete without the perfect footwear, and no season has better styles than spring. From gladiator sandals to dressy flats, the options are truly endless.
Check below for a few of my personal favorite Spring Shoe trends:
Flatforms
Sky-high heels are so last season! Investing in a pair of flatforms will completely upgrade your spring look. Not only are they super trendy but you get so much wear out of them. They come in cool versions like printed and metallic, and will compliment practically everything in your closet. Plus they give height without sacrificing comfort. Major key.
Sneakers
When I was in college eons ago, I wore heels religiously. Now that my days are spent mostly on my feet, I have a low tolerance for painful shoes. So I’ve (reluctantly) traded in my pumps for a pair of comfy sneakers. I love that they are casual but can be dressed up with the right pieces such as a flowing dress or tulle skirt. P.S. go here for tips on styling sneakers with everything in your closet – even skirts.
Mules
Mules will be a big hit this season if the Spring 2016 runways are any indication. The trend popped up at the Reem Acra, Michael Kors and Ralph Lauren. One of my go-to shoe silhouettes, mules look amazing with everything from jeans to culottes. Choose a thicker heel for added support.
Lace-Up Sandals
Lace-up sandals just get better with time. In other words, they aren’t going anywhere any time soon. The criss-cross detail adds a little umph to any outfit. And it easily transforms your look from day to night. I love to wear mine with a skater dress or miniskirt for a flirty head-to-toe look.
Oxfords
Oxfords are one of my favorites because the pairing options are limitless. They provide a stylish, edgy twist to any spring look. They also come in different patterns and textures from patent leather to glitter. Because of the masculine style, I prefer to wear mine with flirty floral prints or full pleated skirts to tease a hint of femininity.
Which Spring shoe trends are you anxious to add to your wardrobe? Any you could do without? I’m dying to know your thoughts below!
