Glamazons, working so closely with models has shown me it’s not as glamorous as it looks: the too-tight shoes, the stressful go-sees and hairstylists that don’t always know how to do your hair. But one thing I do envy, honestly, is the fact they get to have their faces beat by the best in the business. If I could get my makeup done everyday for my job…heaven!
And I would’ve loved to be a model backstage at Jason Wu during New York Fashion Week (and not just for the gorgeous gowns). The beauty look was super glamorous, which makes sense as the theme of the collection was extreme femininity. Even better? They used purple eyeshadow from Jason‘s new collection from Lancome.
Here are the deets:
Inspiration: To play off the extreme femininity theme, Lancome makeup artist Diane Kendal created a “vibrant indigo eye paired with muted cheeks and lips.”
Get The Look:
- Makeup artists used Le Crayon Khol in Purple Dusk to line eyes along the top and bottom lashes. Then, they applied Luminous Eye Shadow in vibrant Violet to the lids and blended. They lined eyes along the top lashes with Liner Design Gel Eyeliner in Violet Stylista for added definition and finished the look with Hypnose Drama Mascara in Excessive Black and Le Curler Lash Curler.
- Skin was lightly-contoured with Teint Idole Ultra 24H Foundation and Blush Subtil Palette in various shades.
- Finally, they brushed foundation onto the lips and applied lip balm.
- The best part? The shadow, which feathered out to mimic a cat eye, is from Jason Wu for Lancome, the upcoming collection. Amaze!
Who I Could See Wearing This Look: Rihanna, Jennifer Lopez, Katy Perry, Alicia Keys, Scarlett Johansson, Nicole Richie, Kelly Osbourne. Anyone who isn’t afraid of a little drama.
So beautiful!
What do you think of the look, Glamazons? Would you try it?
Kisses,
Glamazon Jessica
