Glamazons,
We’ve been breathlessly waiting for the latest Target collection to hit stores since news broke that Peter Pilotto was next to design a line for the retailer. The vibrant mix of masterful printed dresses, crop tops, skirts and swimwear is set to hit stores and online at Target.com and Net-a-Porter this Sunday, February 9th, just in time for #NYFW. Score!
I am sure you’re on pins and needles just like we are for Peter Pilotto for Target to launch, gazing at the promo video, drooling over the ad campaign pics and waiting for stores to open on Sunday (FYI, most stores open at 8AM). It can’t get here fast enough!
Here’s how to prep for shopping Peter Pilotto for Target when it hit stores this weekend:
1. Shop with a List
The best part of shopping a new collection? Finding ravishing pieces. The hardest part? Deciding which ones to actually buy! The key is to figure out which pieces work best with your personal style and how the collection will translate into your everyday life. Then, create a list and stick to it when you rush into Target stores or shop online on Sunday. Trust us — February 9th is not the time for browsing. You should know what you want and grab it as quickly as possible. Glamazon Jessica has already chosen her Peter Pilotto for Target collection faves. Check below for the looks I’m obsessing over! Which pieces are on your list?
2. Budget
Have you ever been out with your girlfriends and spent way more than you initially planned? Me too! But that is what I absolutely love about Peter Pilotto for Target – the affordability! I’m all about high fashion without breaking the bank.
The most expensive item set you back $80.00. And the cheapest item? Just $14.99. Can’t beat those prices even if you tried. Figure out which items fit into your price range and go from there. My rule of thumb is to make a wish list (see tip #1) and then cut it down based on what I can actually afford so I don’t overspend from the excitement of it all.
3. Sign Up for Target Alerts
If you are constantly glued to your smartphone (who isn’t?!), then the best way to stay up-to-date with all things Peter Pilotto for Target is to have email updates sent directly to your inbox. You can also text STYLE to Target for updates via text messaging. You can get pretty helpful info about which stores the collection will be available in (store locations haven’t been released yet!) and more. And check the Peter Pilotto for Target site like your life depends on it!
4. Learn the Return Policy
Target goes above and beyond to make sure the return process is super easy for their customers. If you are returning an item to the store, make sure you have the receipt, packing slip and/or credit card used to make the purchase. You generally have within 90 days to make a return or exchange. And also, check for returns: someone might just bring back the dress you wanted in your size!
5. Pick the Best Time
Whenever a new collection for a major retailer debuts, it’s mayhem trying to order online. It is a must to pick the best time to start your browsing. I’ve found that the wee hours of the morning seem to be the best for shopping online. Almost no traffic or site crashes, and a smooth checkout. Seriously, you can’t beat that! Target doesn’t divulge what time the collection will hit but it’s usually after midnight.
6. Research Sizing
As any Glamazon knows, sizing can be tricky with designer collections. If you’re normally a size 10, you may need to go down (8) or up (12) depending on the fit of the line. Check back here for Glamazon Jessica‘s review of sizing/fit and real pictures from the Peter Pilotto for Target on February 7th, after the editor preview event. The more info you know ahead of time, the better.
Happy Shopping!
