What I Wore #NYFWCrawl Edition: Clover Canyon from Rent The Runway

Glamazons,

This post right here is evidence of why I love Rent The Runway so much. There are times in a Glamazon’s life that just call for an eye-catching, memorable look that doesn’t need to be worn twice. I experienced such a time over New York Fashion Week when I had a busy day that I knew would be filled with selfies, Instagram shots and plenty of pictures: Sunday.

That day started with Books & Brunch then there was the Tracy Reese show (an editor reunion), the RewardStyle event (attended by bloggers the world over) and it finished off with The Glam Network dinner (all my favorites!). It required a beautiful dress — and Rent The Runway hooked me up.

I wore the Clover Canyon ‘Moscow Mixup’ dress, a delightful quarter-sleeve fit-and-flare moment with the most striking graphic/digital print mashup. All black accessories were my pick to compliment the dress with Phillip Lim for Target black leather bag and Zara ankle strap pumps. Finally, for a little flare, I added mirror lensed glasses (a loan from Danielle of Style and Beauty Doctor) and a dark lippie.

What do you think of my look?

Kisses,

Glamazon Jessica

    Hi Jessica,
I found your website because I wanted to wear this exact dress from Rent the Runway. I am a mother of four who is going for a short weekend (w/ no kids) to Vegas. Of course, I don’t have a stitch of clothing that is appropriate for that city. This looks perfect though. Did you like the dress? You look gorgeous. Does it run TTS? I hope that link for the site is a referral code for you so that you get some credit for steering me in this dress’ direction.

Hey Terri! First off, enjoy Vegas! Love that place. I did find the dress was true to size (I ordered a six which is my normal size) but you can get two sizes from RTR free of charge just in case. I loved the dress – comfy and super cute.

One tip though: since it’s quarter sleeve and the fabric isn’t especially breezy, maybe you want to explore short sleeve versions of the dress since you’ll be in hot Vegas weather. There’s no referral code for it but thanks for thinking of me, and checking out the post. xo!
