After Phillip Lim wowed us with his Target line, I couldn’t wait to see his Spring 2014 collection! Lim went a direction that was bit of a surprise for me.
He brought us back to the raw landscapes of Earth. Lim wanted the crowd to feel Earth’s elements, literally. Guests walked on salt-crystals to get to their seats. But that was just the start of the geological references. The collection provided the rest.

Inspiration:
Phillip Lim was influenced by the beautiful elements of Mother Nature. Earth’s landscapes were visible in the geo-prints and wave-inspired motifs. The influences continued through the color palette as Lim used greens, blues, and yellows to bring the collection to life.
Key Pieces:
Organza-embroidered sweaters, boxy leather jackets with metal detailing, cracked suede vests, boxy tops, leather A-line skirts, printed moto leather jackets, tie-dye pink kimono inspired leather jackets, loose-fitted shift dresses, pleated peplums, fringe-back dresses, printed cuffed trousers.

Glamazons, the blue and white embroidered sweater is gorgeous, and I believe it will quickly become a favorite among Lim‘s faithful fans. I’m crushing on the suede vest and leather moto jacket. HOT!
