One of the best parts of the Victoria’s Secret Fashion show (other than the over-the-top lingerie and too-adorable to fathom pajama sets) is the hair and makeup.
VS is known to send models down the runway with ridiculously toned, bronzed bodies, voluminous romantic curls and golden come-hither makeup. ( I love their hair looks, but my bed head is far from fab in the morning! I wish I could wake up with perfectly placed waves and curls after a nights rest! A girl can dream…)
As you saw in Glamazon Andrea’s backstage coverage of this year’s show, the models looked super-gorgeous in their teeny-weeny freak-em gear, but the VS Angels’ beauty look was more ethereal and minimal this year.
The VS Makeup Pro Team beat the girls’ faces to absolute fierceness, but ditched the spray tan this year for a more natural look. Tan-less or not, these chicas worked it on out with delicate makeup and flirty waves. Here’s how to get the look for yourself.
Makeup:
The VS angels always have a morning-after glow to their makeup. Follow these steps to make this look your own.
1. The finish of these Angels’ makeup looked pretty flawless. For a gorgeous airbrushed look make sure you moisturize your skin to prep it for your foundation.
2. Next, apply concealer where needed and follow this step with applying liquid foundation to the entire face.
3. Next, add a shimmery gold eye shadow to the eyelids. Follow this with eyeliner and finish with mascara.
4. Amp up those cheeks with a peach or poppy-colored shimmer blush.
5. Now, really enhance your glow by adding bronzer to the cheekbones, forehead and bridge of the nose for a bit of contour.
6. For a baby-doll pout like the Angels, line lips with a pink hue. To really emphasize the pouty effect of fuller-looking lips, line the lips slightly past the edge of your lips and top it off with a shimmery, pink lip gloss.
Hair:
Don’t shy away from clip-in extensions. You can buy them curly and just blend your hair in with the extensions, or you can get straight extensions and curl them with a large-barrel hair curler.
Jut take 1″ sections of the hair and wrap them around the outside of the curling iron for luxe, loose waves. Be sure to finish with holding spray so your waves stay put!
