Glamazons!
I nearly fainted this morning when among a slew of emails, text messages and BBMS (yes, I’m team blackberry), I spotted an email invite to a Versace for H&M pre-shopping event. Squeal!
I plan to spend my entire paycheck (umm…what’s left after the Rebecca Minkoff and Christian Louboutin sale, that is) picking up items from the new collection…from the adorable party dresses to the vibrant leopard and neon-printed scarves. There’s so many pieces I LOVE (clearly, since Donatella‘s one of my fave designers to EVER live…clearly.)
Well, it turns out choosing which glamazing piece to add to your collection won’t be your only concern this Saturday when the line officially debuts to the public.
Versace for H&M has released rules for shopping the line, which we all must abide by, no matter how bad we want to elbow the girl with the last silver, disco dress in our size. (Kidding…haha…sort of).
Here it goes:
Rule #1: The first 280 in line will receive one of 14 different colored bracelets, 20 people for each bracelet color. On the bracelet you will be given a specific time for shopping in our designated area. The bracelets are only needed for the Women’s collection. When your time slot arrives, you will enter the designated area to shop for 15 minutes. Our goal is to create a better shopping experience for all of our customers. Customers buying the men’s collection will not require a bracelet. If you are not one of the first 280 in line, you will of course have the opportunity to shop from the men’s collection or within H&M. When the 14 groups have finished their shopping we will open up the women’s collection to all of our customers.
Rule #2: To make sure as many customers as possible are able to buy from the Versace for H&M collection, we have a shopping limit. Every customer can buy from the entire collection, but with a limit of purchasing a maximum of two pieces per product, i.e. not more than two sizes (shoes/garments) or pieces (accessories) per product per customer. The shopping limit covers the entire Versace for H&M collection. Your place in line does not guarantee any items from the Versace for H&M collection.

So there you have it. Keep in mind — these are the same rules I abided by when shopping Lanvin for H&M, which was one of the best shopping trips of my LIFE (reminds me, it’s almost time to bring out that fur coat). And truthfully, the rules weren’t all that bad. Just remember to move quickly, try everything on (remember some Lanvin x H&M dresses looked crazy on me?) and have an idea of what you want.
Speaking of which, here is the full collection with prices so you can create your shopping list—plus new never-seen-before items I spotted on H&M’s website:
