Zac Posen is one of my favorite designers. He’s so in tune with what looks good on a woman. The New York-based designer consistently delivers clean lines and classic silhouettes, and he stayed true to his design aesthetic for Fall 2014.
Yesterday, he showed his 25-piece collection in his Tribeca studio with a front row that included Andre Leon Talley and a runway lineup that featured Coco Rocha (it wouldn’t be a Zac Posen show without her, of course).
Here are the deets on Zac Posen Fall 2014:
Inspiration: Zac Posen said he was inspired by Charles James, America’s first couturier. He told editors: “This collection came down to exactly what he was about: focusing on a level of discipline and craft.” I couldn’t agree more. That same structured aesthetic is seen throughout this collection as the voluminous gowns are all uplifted by intricate draping and smart pleats. The designer used jewel toned colors and fabrics like tweed and taffeta to bring this collection to life.
