Why We Love Solange Knowles’ Opening Ceremony Looks (And Her Amazing Stylist, Charles Wade)

Always on trend, Solange Knowles rocked a 70’s-inspired look at Elle magazine’s ‘Women in Music’ event that nearly sent me into disco fever.

She paired a wide-leg pant and floppy hat with Opening Ceremony‘s beaded bra top and cut out leather coat.  Her skin looked radiant and she wore a bold coral lip with shimmering gold and yellow shadow.

After working the red carpet, she went backstage to change before hitting the stage.  She posed for a quick flick with one of our favorite designers Jeremy Scott.

Later, she went on to rock the house and perform a few new songs.  Ever raw, down-to-earth and a little rebellious, she tweeted before the show:

“Performing couple of my new jams for the first time tonight at the ELLE Mag Women in Murrrsic show. First show in 2 years. Rusty b*tch.”

LOL. Her second ‘fit made me want to hop on a plane and head to Coachella this weekend! The long crochet-style top and the moccasins were so earthy, boho and just fun! I don’t know if I’d wear it myself, but I love how cool it looks on her.

Both of her looks were styled by the amazing Charles Wade and if you’re not following his hilarious tweets, I suggest you do so now! Don’t say I didn’t warn you when you’re cracking up reading them. [Fun Glamazon Christina Fact: Charles took me to my very first NYFW Fashion Show! :) ]

Oh and how could I forget? She looked just as effortless and chic DJing just last week in this Opening Ceremony cardigan and Chloe Sevigny for Opening Ceremony wedges.

What do you think Glamazons? Are you loving Solange’s style as much as I am?

I think it's fun! Especially if you're an artist who is going on stage to perform, It looks like other sites don't appreciate her style at all. The go fug yourself girls are always saying she's a hot mess, but I think they maybe a little biased?
