Would You Wear…White Pumps?

white

Glamazons,

It was easy to convince me to add a pair of white sandals to my closet but adding a pair of white pumps, well, that took a lot of work. White pumps have been widely considered taboo and strictly for church. But the heels are proving to be a fab shoe choice. It’s a great option when color blocking and when you go for a double dose of prints it helps break the colors up.

Don’t believe me, just take one look at Glamazon Kerry Washington. White pumps have punctuated several of her red carpet looks.

And she’s not alone. Glamazons like Sarah Jessica Parker have also incorporated white pumps into their wardrobe, wearing them like a neutral!

The heels made a splash last Spring and the trend is sticking around again this year. If you didn’t pick up any white heels last season, might we convince you this time around? Would you wear them?

If you need more style inspiration before running out to buy a pair, take a cue from these Glamazons.

Team your white pumps with black leather pants and a printed blouse like Heidi Klum.

Add white pumps to break up prints like Fergie.

Go for a head-to-toe white look like Jennifer Lopez, Jennifer Hudson, Nicole Richie and Kate Hudson.

And create a cool contrast by pairing white pumps with bright colors. Karolina Kurkova and Lupita Nyong’o nailed their looks.

If you plan to try this trend, here are some options to get you started:

So what’s the verdict: would you wear them? Tell me in the comments!

Fashionably yours,

Glamazon Jamiese

I never knew white pumps have been considered strictly for church. As the pictures you’ve published prove, white pumps looks really nice with a lot of outfits, so I would definitely wear them.

Yes – I’d wear them too and there are so many different ways you can style them. I think they got a bit of an Easter association but glad to see that myth’s not holding up!

I totally agree. And happy to see that stigma about white pumps is obsolete now.

I also thought white pumps make you look like a church mother or nurse, but I’ve found some super cute ones I want to add to my closet this season.

So glad you’re giving it a try – I felt the same way about white pumps (nurse, church mother, etc.) but would definitely wear cute ones now. Thanks for commenting! xx
