Glamazons,
I woke up gagging the other day: 85 degrees in New York. In late September. Where does that happen at?!
In light of the schizophrenic weather, I thought it’d be a good a time as any for a transitional shopping piece. Afterall, no one knows how to dress (or what season it is). So our clothes have to bend to Mother Nature’s whims.
Here are 5 pieces that will help you navigate this weather limbo:
1. Jacket (leather, bomber or camo)
Sleeveless dresses and tanks don’t need to be packed away just yet – throw on a trendy leather jacket and take your summer pieces straight into Fall. Proof I have no intention of packing my summer things away? I rocked a summer maxi dress under a leather jacket with neon sandals. Just one piece and my summer staples became Fall-appropriate.

2. Scarves
I love scarves because the minute you get cold, you can easily pull one out of your bag and throw it on top of a sweater or a blazer and a tank top. I threw a textured scarf over a chambray skirt and black maxi skirt; the mix of materials is so fun! And if you want to rev up the glam factor, pick up a bold printed scarf; it will undoubtedly spice up your look. The more colorful, the better.

3. Trench Coat
There’s a reason the trench coat is a timeless staple. It is so classic and chic, and instantly pulls any outfit together. It can also be dressed up with a skirt and pumps, and down with skinny jeans and flats. I especially love the belted trench because it creates the perfect hourglass silhouette — no matter what you’re wearing underneath.

4. Boyfriend Blazer
Glamazons, I don’t know about you but I’m really loving boyfriend blazers this season. The oversized blazers are so downtown cool when paired over tanks and leggings. And for my signature in between season look, I’m pulling out my new red blazer and throwing it over black/white dresses. Nothing cuter.

5. Leggings/Tights
My legs can usually withstand the cold but as soon as the brisk air gets unbearable, I’m reaching for a pair of leggings or tights. They’re perfect to go under flared summer dresses and skirts. Bonus? Black tights and black booties elongate your legs for a look that’s just irresistibly chic.
