The latest summer trend was one that took awhile to grow on me– crochet. To me crochet is something that belongs on my grandmother’s table or a hippie. Not my body. But seeing the way the trend was remastered during New York Fashion Week at Proenza Schouler, Christopher Kane and Edun have changed my mind. This can, in fact, be chic!
If your not ready for an actual piece of crochet clothing, choose an accessory! When outfitting a crochet shirt, wear a nude (or corresponding color) cami underneath. For a skirt or a dress, keep the rest of the outfit tame. Too much going on and you just might start to resemble my grandmother’s table.
