Glamazons,
Just when I’m beginning to dread how fast-paced and expensive New York City is, I have a magical day that makes me feel like it’s exactly where I need to be. That happened Sunday when I spent the day in Times Square and saw one of the best Broadway plays evvverrr. It reminded me of the time when my Dad would bring me into the city as a little girl to see plays, and I felt like New York City was so full of wonder, promise and possibility. I just knew I wanted to live and work here one day.
Now, years later, being able to wake up in my Harlem apartment, hop on the subway and see a play in Times Square is a blessing I can’t take for granted. Another blessing? Shooting for my blog AKA doing what I love for a living. It wouldn’t be possible without the courageous men and women, like my grandfather, who risk their lives to protect our freedom so we can feel safe in one of the most famous cities in the world. That’s why I couldn’t think of a more fitting post for #MemorialDay (well that and my unintentionally patriotic white and red ‘fit). Thank you to our brave soldiers!
