I’m always game for a little quirkiness, especially when it comes to accessories.
I’ve had my eye on Sophia Webster for the longest because from mixed prints to polka dots to speech bubbles, she delivers the whimsy.
But the British-born designer’s shoes are squarely out of my budget (in the $500-$1,000 range). So naturally, I’m thrilled for her collaboration with J.Crew which offers pumps at half that price (ranging from $320-$695).
The 13-piece collection boasts black pointy pumps with polka dots and stripes, orange pumps with white star pattern, strappy sandals with stripes and green hearts and a spectacular pair of lace-up open toe booties. Check the rest out below:
Not only are the designs playful and spirited (as is Sophia‘s signature) but they’re all brand new. No cheaper versions of her official line, here.
Sophia Webster designed the shoes with the brand’s Spring 2014 collection themes in mind, saying: “The brand has a real sense of fun and color that I love and I think that my designs compliment their clothes well.”
J.Crew head of Womens design, Tom Mora, added that the line is earmarked for “a woman who enjoys a little whimsy,” and revealed “J.Crew always looks for something that has a little fun to it — we never want to take ourselves too seriously — and we all agreed these shoes put a smile on your face.”
