I developed a whole new respect for Moms after my best friends became mothers and I got to see all the work it takes firsthand. Being a mom is a 24/7 job and it’s tireless and selfless. Since your needs often come second to your baby’s, it’s easy to let your old fashion routine fall by the wayside. Who has time to worry about getting dressed up when your baby’s sick, or needs a diaper change, or is crying at the top of their lungs for a feeding? Since mothers are so selfless, Mother’s Day is a great time to encourage them to treat themselves. I like to give the Moms in my life a day at the spa or a gift card for a personal shopping trip so they can indulge in the little pleasures they rarely have time for anymore.
