1. Exhibit Name: Lucky Balls: The True Story Of The Charging Bull

The Charging Bull is located right in the heart of Wall Street. While tourists may line up to take photos with him on a daily basis, he’s OBVS more than just a big, bronze sculpture. In honor of his 25th anniversary, there’s been an hour long documentary created called Lucky Balls: The True Story Of Charging Bull. Go check it out and be sure to hang out afterwards at a reception in the museum gallery so you can mingle with the director, producers and others who appear in the film.

At Uzeeum, we are firm believers in the power of museums to educate, delight, AND allow for time travel! Aficionados of NYC museums have come to expect dinosaurs, pyramids, and ancient cave paintings, but what about the more recent past like the 1990s Chinatown music scene? Take part in an interactive conversation followed by a special two-hour music set with DJ Daniel Wang as he takes attendees for a spin on the ’90s Chinatown music scene and New York’s club culture. Balancing well-known tracks with dance rarities, Daniel plays real disco, house, and jazz funk occasionally with a touch of salsa, German Schlager, or ’80s Japanese pop hits, depending on the mood.

If you’re into vintage holiday seasons (we’re talking 1830 here), then you’ll love this candlelit tour! This 200+ year-old treasure comes alive with tales and music of the season. On Friday, linger in the Upper Hall and listen to the choir perform holiday and period music. Visitors are welcome to dress up in the museum’s reproduction clothing and take a holiday photo. Refreshments are generously provided by Fairway, Two Little Red Hens, and Glaser’s Bake Shop.
4. Exhibit Name: Sex On Fifth Avenue

Date: 12/6 @ 10 p.m.

At the intersection of a ’90s Club Kids-era party and the New York Burning Man community, you’ll find Sex on Fifth Ave. Enjoy DJs in different rooms playing music that ranges from disco/electro clash to deep house alongside exhibitions and installations assembled by curators Kayvon Zand and Brendan McElroy. Artists embellish skin with UV body paint and drag queens strut their stuff. Wall Street bankers in suits sip champagne at V.I.P tables while staring in awe at women in fetish gear performing with whips and other props. Whether you’re there for the club scene or just to gawk at the outlandish outfits and wild exhibits, this isn’t a party to be missed.
5. Exhibit Name: Portraiture and the Black Male Body
Place: Studio Museum In Harlem

If spending the night at the Museum of Natural History isn’t your cup of tea, then this lively event may be more your speed. Some of the most popular museum exhibits across the city are the ones that allow patrons to nurture their inner artist and we have a feeling that the success of this program is sure to turn it into a repeat activity.
Embracing new trends in portraiture and confronting the pervasive lack of African-American figure models in the classroom environment, this workshop celebrates the nude black male body! Following a brief tour of Titus Kaphar: The Jerome Project, participants will head to the theater for a figure-drawing class, where a live model will pose for people of all levels of ability. No experience is necessary and refreshments will be served.
