Glamazons,
I know, I know: you’re like another retail holiday? But this one is actually for a good cause. After shopping to your heart’s content on Black Friday, Small Business Saturday and Cyber Monday, here’s a way to give back to those less fortunate. In my opinion, it’s the one “holiday” after Turkey Day that actually continues the spirit of thanksgiving. Here’s a little info on #GivingTuesday from the official website:
“#GivingTuesday [is] a global day dedicated to giving back. On Tuesday, December 1, 2015, charities, families, businesses, community centers, and students around the world will come together for one common purpose: to celebrate generosity and to give. It’s a simple idea. Just find a way for your family, your community, your company or your organization to come together to give something more. Then tell everyone you can about how you are giving. Join us and be a part of a global celebration of a new tradition of generosity.”
If you’re interested in getting in on the fun, here are a couple fashion brands participating this year:
1. (RED) and Gilt

I know I said 7, but I couldn’t resist adding one more. Aldo partnered with Dress for Success today on #GivingShoesDay. They’re encouraging people to donate professional Womens shoes to the organization today for #GivingTuesday, and the top 10 donors in North America will nab a $250 gift certificate to Aldo. I love shoes and giving so this is right up my alley! More info HERE.
Glamazons, are you giving back on #GivingTuesday this year? If there’s any brands participating that I forgot, feel free to add them in the comments!
