Glamazons,
Hello London Fashion Week! Before we could fully take in the glamorous spectacle that was New York Fashion Week, it was over. Once the tents at the Lincoln Center were carefully collapsed, fashion insiders headed across the pond for #LFW, which kicked off with a celebration of the 10th anniversary of Duro Olowu‘s Fall 2014 collection.
The brand, a favorite of First Lady Michelle Obama, themed the new offering around exotic prints.
Here are the Details for Duro Olowu’s Fall 2014 Collection:
Inspiration: Staying true to the offbeat aesthetic that the brand is known for, the art deco-themed collection was inspired by 1920s furniture designer Elizabeth Eyre Lanux. The models completed the vibrant look with gold eyeshadow, bright shades of pink and red lipstick with nails to match. An additional ode to Britain, their hair was sleekly styled with a Victorian middle-part.
Key Pieces: Mixed, geometric print separates in bold colors, including hot pink, emerald green, yellow, red, and royal blue. Silk scarves attached to tailored silhouettes and trousers with wide vintage frames. Sheer floral dresses with high-collars and long-sleeves. Two-toned sandals and pointy-toed stilettos. Fur and textured fabric accents.
Who We Could See Wearing This Collection: Michelle Obama, Solange, Zoe Saldana, Cara Delevingne.
