Glamazons,
New York Fashion Week is officially here. Is it just me or do you feel like I was just traipsing through snowstorms at Lincoln Center, scribbling down interview quotes with frostbitten fingers? The great thing about Fashion Week in September is that it’s warm outside (for the people going back and forth to shows) and since the collections are for the Spring season, the clothes are earmarked for warm weather. And nothing brings to mind sunshine-y days and endless summer nights like whimsical chiffon dresses. A ton of them floated down the runway at BCBGMaxAzria today to the soundtrack of Lana Del Rey playing in the background.
Here’s the tea:
Inspiration: “Luminosity,” according to Lubov Azria, the brand’s chief creative officer. Hair by Chi was Bohemian with a twist and nails used OPI Bubblebath, a soft pale pink hue.
Key Pieces: Dreamy Chiffon Dresses in Pastels, Knotted Kimono Belts, Fluid White Separates, Hobo Bags, Ankle-Strap Sandals with Gold Heels.
Who I Could See Wearing The Collection: Jamie Chung (spotted backstage), Nicole Richie, Vanessa Hudgens, Kate Hudson, Zoe Kravitz.
Check out more looks:
For all the ’70s Boho references, the presentation was pretty high-tech thanks to the fact you could buy the looks straight off the runway on Instagram. BCBG partnered with RewardStyle‘s LiketoKnow:It app, and selected a few online influencers to post 13 looks from the collection and let their followers buy it immediately. Here’s how the app works: you sign up for a he LikeToKnow:It account and whenever you like a photo with a LikeToKnow:It link in the caption, RewardStyle emails you with a link to buy the items in the pic. Cool, right?
Glamazons, would you double tap to get any of these looks in your closet?
Kisses,
Glamazon Jessica
