Glamazons,
New York Fashion Week is upon us! Believe it or not, I’m already super tired (I’ve been getting my life at pre-Fashion Week events like the Target runway show, Harlem Fashion Row‘s editor luncheon and a special play reading last night with Taraji P. Henson and Phylicia Rashad – more on these later!) but I had to get up early to see BCBGMaxAzria.
It’s one of my fave shows because the clothes are perennially wearable and it gives you a sneak peek of what trends to expect from the season. Also, the front row is always star-studded.
This season didn’t disappoint. Heidi Klum sat front row looking impeccable (even at 10 in the morning) and Estelle, Selita Ebanks and June Ambrose also graced Lincoln Center with their fashionable presence. As tempting as it is to just stare at Heidi Klum (does she age? is her skin glowing? how are her legs that long), the clothes took centerstage.
Here’s the scoop!
Inspiration:
Boho meets downtown New York City. Max Azria infused a Bohemian sensibility with modern flourishes like snakeskin, sheer paneling and peplum for a much-needed dose of edge.
Details:
Watercolor print maxi dresses, cut-out jumpsuits with sheer panels, cropped jackets, wideleg trousers, whimsical white and sky blue dresses with floral strips framing the hem.
Who I Could See Wearing The Collection:
Blake Lively, Solange, Selita Ebanks, Estelle, Lauren Conrad.
What do you think of the collection, Glamazons?
Kisses,
Glamazon Jessica
