No, your eyes are not deceiving you. That is ME pictured with Katy Perry. AGGH! I DIE. I received an exclusive invite from razor brand Schick Quattro For Women to come and have a spontaneous weekend of fun in Florida in early June. It was so great that I still think about it and smile!
Here we all are with Katy Perry and Kitty Purry (the furry purple animal lol). Katy loves cats and has some at home that she likes to snuggle with! (Side note: Of course I somehow managed to squish my head right in the middle of the pic beside Katy's blue wig...can you see me?!)
Other bloggers/online editors that attended included my A Team faves (i.e. Andrea Lavinthal from USWeeklyMag.com and Amber Katz of Beauty Blogging Junkie) as well as Polly Blitzer from BeautyBlitz.com; Rachel Adler from BeautyHigh.com; India Jewel-Jackson from Glam.com; Aly Walansky from MyGloss.com; Jaime Richards from BellaSugar.com; and Jeannine Morris from BeautySweetSpot.com. We didn’t get an itinerary from the brand which I thought was great because we never knew what was planned or going to come next. Instead, they gave us these super cute envelopes that informed of us of our next activities. (Kind of like how the models in America’s Next Top Model get “Tyra Mail.” LOVE.)

My fave new sunblock from Hawaiian Tropic that I used while in Florida! It contains just the right amount of shimmer so when you're out in the sun you look like a sexy bronzy, golden goddess.

We stayed at the super posh Acqualina Resort in South Beach. Keep in mind that our “activities” consisted mostly of hanging out at the pool, laying out at the beach, getting a massage or eating massive amounts of food during delicious dinners. Definitely my kind of weekend! The brand encouraged us all to be spontaneous, so we did crazy things like water sports. Riding a wave runner on choppy waters has got to be one of the most exhilarating experiences in life! (I definitely wish that I could do it more.) OH and there was also the time I spontaneously woke up early that Saturday morning and worked out at the hotel gym and flirted with the cute, fit guys there tee hee hee….
However, the best spontaneous activity occurred right after the Katy Perry concert we attended that Saturday night in which we were given the opportunity to meet with the pop star herself. SO EXCITING! She was super nice to all of us, commented on how fab my Sally Hansen Nail Stickers are and even shared the news with us about her second upcoming fragrance. (She doesn’t have a name for it just yet but it’s coming out in the fall of this year. She was even interested in knowing if we liked her first one, which I can honestly say I still wear from time to time.) After taking photos and chatting it up, we go out the door only to run into her hubby Russell Brand. (Side note: I was wearing my “I’M LOVE” t-shirt dress and he looks me up and down and goes “Oooo! You ARE love!” I DIED.)
