Backstage Beauty: 2012 Diesel Swimwear Show (Plus Kristin Cavallari’s Glass Bathing Suit!)

Happy Saturday, Glamazons! While it’s highly unlikely that I will actually make it to the beach today due to the ungodly amount of work that I need to get done (ugh) I must say that I’m thinking about ditching all and doing it anyways. Especially after seeing these amazing photos of the models’ beauty looks at the Diesel show during the 2012 Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim! The shows have actually started (woo hoo!) and while I can’t actually be there in Miami to cover the backstage beauty looks like I normally do during New York Fashion Week, I do get these amazing photos and recaps  that I can share just in case you want to re-create the looks at home for yourselves. (Side note: Because you know this is what I do in my two milliseconds of spare time. Re-create beauty looks on myself. LOVE.)

So, as you can see from the above photo, the models at Diesel rocked a fairly simple completely natural (yet peachy) look during the show. James Vincent, Make Up For Ever Alliance Artist (Make Up For Ever is the official makeup sponsor for Swim Fashion Week) served as the key makeup artist for the show. Here’s a breakdown of the beauty look:

Complexion & Cheeks

-Used  a combination of Make Up For Ever Sculpting Kit #1 and Make Up For Ever Mat Bronze, along with Make Up For Ever Uplight #31 (sparkling pink) and #33 (golden copper) to highlight cheeks and warm up the face.

Eyes

-The eyes featured a soft, golden shimmer for a natural, open-eyed look. James applied Make Up For Ever Aqua Cream #11 (gold) and #12 (copper) to the lids, and then dusted Make Up For Ever Metal Powder #2 in maize gold on top for added sheen. He finished by lining the eyes with Make Up For Ever Khol Pencil #1K in black and #6K in gold.

Lips

-The lips were shaped and sculpted with Make Up For Ever Aqua Lip #2C and topped with Make Up For Ever Lab Shine #S6, a soft peach, for a glossy, polished finish.

OH and in other non-related backstage beauty news( that I could hardly pretend to care about but I really like the bathing suit) Kristin Cavallari walked the runway in a one shoulder glass bathing suit that was inspired by sponsor Skyy Vodka.

What do you think of it, Glamazons? And who plans on re-creating this sun-kissed beauty look for themselves?!

xoxo
