A Day in the Life: Black Style Bloggers Tweet Up in NYC

Here’s something that will surprise you. As you know, some of my favorite bloggers from all over the world come out for New York Fashion Week. But instead of reuniting at the first show (usually BCBGMaxAzria), I usually go from show to show without even running into them! Weird I know, but Lincoln Center is a frenzy of people mingling, promoting, organizing and viewing the shows and it’s easy to get lost in that.

That’s why I was thrilled that my blogger buddies Christina of Love Brown Sugar and Jared of Lowe Factor (above) organized the Black Style Bloggers Tweet-up. On Tuesday (also known as Day 6) the top brown style bloggers took over the posh CV Lounge at Hotel Rivington to toast the end of Fashion Week. Ciroc vodka was flowing like a Kim Kardashian weave and tunes like Prince’s Let’s Go Crazy kept everyone on the dance floor. The well-dressed crowd enjoyed a fashion show and walked away with goodie bags with the new Vibe Magazine (B.O.B. on the cover!) and Dark & Lovely hair products. Fun, right?

In addition to the aforementioned glamazing hosts Christina and Jared, I got to catch up with the lovely Liz of Ginger & Liz, Danielle of Style and Beauty Doctor, Mischa of The Fab Chick and celebrity nail stylist extraordinaire TracyLee Percival to name a few. I also spotted Keenyah from America’s Next Top Model and Ford Model Tayo Fajemisin in the mix looking as fresh-faced and pretty as ever! Check out a slideshow from the exciting night below:

Fun times!

Kisses,

Coutura

OMG … we were sitting in the same booth!!! I knew you looked familiar, but I couldn't place it. It was great rocking out with you to Prince "Let's Go Crazy". :)
