Glamazons, I have a confession to make: I have the most horrific brows. If I don’t keep them groomed, they have this super annoying tendency to grow inwards. (As in unibrow situation. EW.) So, I’m constantly scouring the city to hunt down places that provide amazing brow grooming services. (Because those little dingy nail shops that use that one little pot of melted wax on every female within a 10 block radius of it is not the business.)
Earlier last month, I read the news that Benefit (one of my fave beauty brands! they’ve got a huge west coast presence since their headquarters are there) planned on opening a brow bar here in New York. And GASP imagine my surprise when I was invited to their brow bar opening party! I died. The brand linked up with Rent The Runway to offer us bloggers the chance to pick a cute new designer dress as well as give us the opportunity to get our brows and makeup done. I grabbed a cute black and gold Proenza Schouler number and then patiently sipped on a glass of bubbly to await my turn to get my brows done. And WOW. The ladies working there definitely know how to beat a brow to perfection! I’ve never received so many compliments on my brows before! I then scooted over to makeup and above is the finished look.
While getting my makeup done, I learned about this fab new highlighting product the brand has recently come out with called ‘Watt’s Up.‘ It has a highlighter on one end and a blending sponge on the other. You simply swipe the highlighter wherever (it works on lids and cheeks but I mostly use underneath my brows) and then blend with the sponge. Genius! I’ve been using it obsessively since getting my hands on it at the event.
