When you think of the Milly fashion brand, the first thing that comes to mind is probably bold fabric prints and statement-making accessories. Well, get excited because the designer is now bringing her retro-chic fashion aesthetic to the alluring world of beauty!
Clinique has teamed up with Michelle Smith, the designer of the women’s fashion and accessories label Milly, for the Clinique Limited-Edition Pretty in Prints collection just in time for spring.
The collection consists of a compact eyeshadow quad in Printed Pinks, which fuses warm brown and soft pink shades, as well as a delicate pink blush in Precious Posy.
The compact is sleek and silver and is adorned with a signature print from Michelle’s fashion and accessories collection. It’s a couture vintage 1960’s inspired print. (I’m not big on flowers, but the use of white colors with this design is as fab as it sounds!)
I adore a pretty pink lip, so I was ecstatic to discover this lip gloss warm-toned melon shade lip gloss that’s inspired by Michelle’s favorite shade of pink makes its debut in the collection. There’s even a mascara in the collection!
Just when you thought I was done gushing about the Clinique’s Milly collection, I have another “but-wait-there’s-more” nugget of excitement to share with you: the makeup set comes with a pouch that’s embellishes with the same pattern as the compact. Honestly, this bag is so cute I could just see me throwing a tube of lip gloss, my cell and some cash in it and using it as a wristlet for a casual brunch date.

I don’t have enough fingers or toes to count the number of times that I’ve watched the movie Pretty in Pink, so this chic collection stocked with beautiful coral tones and a name that plays off of the famous movie title makes me smile from cheek to cheek. (Molly Ringwald is the girl I longed to be if I were a teen in the 80’s. I can watch her movies all day every day!)
