–Sirius will be broadcasting live from the Ford booth all weekend and hosting celeb interviews. Stop by to hang out with stars like Tamar Braxton (Saturday at 3PM), Elle Varner (Saturday at 3:40 PM), Ledisi (Friday at 2PM) and many more! You may remember that I met Idris Elba, Trey Songz and T.I. at the same booth in 2010 and yes, it was the best day ever!
FORD 2015 MUSTANG GIVEAWAY
–Ford is giving away the keys to the All-New 2015 Ford Mustang on the MainStage at the Superdome on Sunday, July 6th. As you know from my post on the Ford Mustang x OPI nail collection, Ford Mustang is celebrating 50 years, which means it’s a new member of an exclusive club of cars in continuous production for 50 years! How luxe!
It’s such an iconic brand and I’m super jealous that four people are going to walk away from Essence Festival with the All-New 2015 Ford Mustang. I mean, it won’t even be in dealerships until this Fall. And if one of the winner just so happens to be a Glamazon that came to our #NolaCrawl Style Suite, she’ll have the Ford Mustang x OPI nails to match!

PINK FRIDAY WITH FORD AND SUSAN G. KOMEN FOR BREAST CANCER AWARENESS
–Ford is also supporting a cause close to my heart: breast cancer awareness (BCA). My mother is a breast cancer survivor and I’ve lost two aunts to breast cancer so I’m super passionate about BCA. Ford will be celebrating 20 years of their “Warriors in Pink” Breast Cancer Awareness initiative with Susan G. Komen this weekend. What an amazing milestone! To date, they’ve donated more than $115 million to the cause.
To commemorate 20 years, the Ford booth is going pink on Friday, July 4th. For the first 250 test drives, Ford‘s breast cancer awareness organization, Warriors in Pink, will donate $20 to the Young Survival Coalition (up to $5,000) to help directly improve the lives of thousands of young breast cancer survivors. TEST DRIVE + #ESSENCEFEST TICKET GIVEAWAY

So about that Essence Festival concert ticket giveaway! Ford is hosting a consumer test drive program daily from Friday to Sunday from 9:30 AM – 6:00 PM. You can sign up at the Convention Center to test drive the 2014 Ford vehicle lineup including the 2014 Ford Fusion, 2014 Ford Mustang and 2014 Ford Escape.
We’re giving away two (2) FREE Essence Music Festival concert tickets to the Friday show for one (1) lucky person who goes to test drive the Ford vehicles at the Convention Center.
Enter to win by posting a picture of yourself on Instagram with one of the Ford cars at the test drive and including #FordUp and #NolaCrawl in the caption between 9:30AM and 3PM. We’ll choose a winner at random and contact them at 4 PM to pick up their tickets in the French Quarter (location will be provided). Good luck!
