#NYFW: Thom Browne Spring 2014

Glamazons,

If you were looking for New York Fashion Week Drama, you got it!  Thom Browne brought the theatrics to his Spring 2014 showing, creating an experience you can’t forget.

The scene was electric and dark with paper-mâché bodies hanging from the ceiling. Models descended upon the runway with white painted faces and smeared red lipstick. And the elaborate setting was only the beginning. The looks were just as awe-inspiring.

Here’s the scoop!

Inspiration:

Thom Browne drew inspiration from the Victorian era which translated in voluminous skirts, corsets and Leg-‘O-Mutton sleeves. Browne continued to display his incredible workmanship through elaborate designs and sculpted pieces. The looks were devoid of color but what they lacked in vibrant hues, they made up for in detailing.

Details:

High collar jackets, lace skirts, dresses with elaborate shoulders, Gigot sleeves, sculpted jackets, full skirts, tiered and ruffle gowns.

Who I Could See Wearing The Collection:

Lady Gaga, Katy Perry and Gwen Stefani.

Glamazons, do you love the collection?

Fashionably yours,

Glamazon Jamiese
