Fashion News: Zac Posen To Design for David’s Bridal (In Sizes 0-26!)

Glamazons,

If there’s a chance, any chance at all, you might get married in, let’s say, the next 20 years, you’ll want to pick up a gown from Zac Posen‘s new limited-edition collection for David’s Bridal. You know, just in case.

The once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to wear Zac Posen on a budget for your wedding day comes by way of a collaboration with David’s Bridal called “Truly Zac Posen.”

The line, available starting February 2014, will carry six styles ranging from $850 to $1,350 and five special occasion dresses ranging from $195 to $225. The collection will be available off-the-rack from 0 to 14 and in 16 to 26 by special order.

As for the aesthetic? Drama and romance in true Zac Posen form. The designer, who created wedding gowns for Coco Rocha and Portia de Rossi, describes the dresses as “smashing from the side, stunning from the front and elegant from the back.” I live! He promises, “There’s a romantic classicism to them with a va-va-va-voom quality.”

Catalina Maddox-Wagers, David Bridal‘s executive vice president for merchandising, believes that style of wedding gown is what the famous retail chain was lacking. “What was missing was this aesthetic that speaks to a more red carpet, dramatic bride,” she said.

Zac also made a point to design gowns that could appeal to women of all sizes and budgets. “I have such a wide fan base and audience base and diverse base,” he told USA Today. “I wanted to find a place where I could actually address them and dress them.” And to boot, he designed the tag to read “like a personal note from me to all my best girlfriends across America.”

Obviously, Glamazons are his bestest girlfriends (in my head atleast, haha). This sounds like my kind of collaboration, Glamazons.

Are you excited, too?

Kisses,

Glamazon Jessica
