What I Wore: Aldo Rise x J.W. Anderson ‘Weatherbee’ Pumps with Stripes and Fringe

Glamazons,

Have you ever had one of those days where everything goes wrong? Usually, in New York, that involves horrible weather, evil landlords and sky-high rent prices and happens around the first of the month, where we all do this:

That sums it up.

Anyway, I was having that kind of day a couple weeks ago. And on days like that, nothing makes me happier than a great pair of shoes. Or chocolate. Or a muscular man in a suit.

And since I didn’t have the last two handy, I treated myself to a sale at Aldo, which I learned about from my friend B (whose also responsible for my H&M shopping spree).

There, I found these:

Breathtaking, aren’t they?

The shoes immediately lit up my world of darkness and despair with their striped pattern (which I told you I love!), fringe detail on the heel and ankle strap (another favorite). They were exactly what I needed to lift my spirits, and were only $30 on sale at Aldo.

I bought the pumps, dubbed ‘Weatherbee’ and designed by J.W. Anderson for the Aldo Rise collection. And yes, it still rains occasionally, and my landlord is difficult except when it comes to collecting rent, which is still ridiculously too damn high. But everything will be alright because I have these shoes.

Check out my full look:

Oh! And it turns out, I actually blogged them unknowingly in this post. And forgot about them until B said “those fringe striped shoes scream ‘Jessica.”

Kismet.

What do you think of my look?
