Glamazons,
If you follow me on Twitter, you know I’m OBSESSED with “Scandal,” Olivia Pope and all her gladiators. The show literally has me on the edge of my couch during its one-hour run and I immediately go back into “Scandal” withdrawal when it ends.
The week until the show returns (or longer during these godforbidden “breaks”) is the longest ever. In fact, my days have transformed from, let’s say, Tuesday to two days until Scandal-day.
As much as I live for every twist and turn in the plot, bond with the characters (Huck is like my bestie) and clutch my pearls while getting a thrill from the love scenes (Olitz! And why doesn’t Harrison have a boo?!), the fashion is what keeps me in awe.
Wardrobe stylist Lynn Tesoro keeps Kerry Washington Olivia Pope looking glamtastic. And there’s a story behind every look.
For that reason, and after a request from a fellow Scandal-watching follower @GodsnGOATS, I will be doing a fashion recap of each episode of “Scandal” from here on out.
For last week’s episode “One For The Dogs“:
After getting wind that Fitz had woken up from a letter he (allegedly) signed asking to be reinstated, Liv rushed to the hospital to be by his side in a Max Mara quarter-length sleeve sweater, J Brand dark jeans, Dolce Vita brown boots, white leather gloves and the Prada Saffiano Top Handle tote. BAWSE! (Be prepared for me to steal this look, yall).
Do you see how she throws her tote on the table to be searched and frantically rips off those faboosh leather gloves? Tossing fashion aside to see her boo again. Nothing mattered more in that moment than her reunion with Fitz.

When Olivia Pope has on a white jacket, you know she means business. Queen Mother Olivia demanded a meeting with acting President Sally Langston to make a case for releasing Huck in a $1375 Ann Demeulemeester white jacket with black buttons (sold out unfortch). How can you say no to that level of flyness? Shawp!
Olivia reunited with Huck, read Senator Edison for vampire blood and hugged all up on her comatose love Fitz all while wearing her white Ann Demeulemeeser jacket and her Prada medium ruched shoulder bag.
It’s fascinating to see Olivia dressed impeccably in high fashion designers next to Huck, who has a bloodied face and basic casual threads. Their outfits show that their worlds couldn’t be more different and yet they have forged an unshakeable bond: “I won’t let you down this time. I promise.”

What did you think of Olivia‘s fashion and the episode that nearly brought me to tears at the end (“Hi” “Hi” *tears streaming down my face*)? Tell me in the comments.

Those gloves were everything! I am still looking for a pair!!
I am in absolute love with every single bag Olivia carries! Her bags tend to be more classic in shapes and silhouettes rather than trendy.
I love that she sticks to the classic bags, but uses her accessories (gloves, necklaces, earrings) to play up her wardrobe. Great post!
