Scandal Fashion Recap: Salvatore Ferragamo Cashmere Coat, Jets Cut Out Swimsuit and Dior Navy Peplum top

Glamazons,

I just can’t find it in my heart to function after yesterday’s episode of “Scandal.” Shonda Rhimes took my emotions on a roller coaster and now, she must pay for my therapy, rehab and anxiety pill prescriptions. I’ve lost my mind.

This is my mouth dropping again and again after the episode:

Lord, help me.

SPOILER ALERT:

At the same moment that Fitz had a change of heart and decided to save the presidency, we see the moles (that evil Billy Chambers that should’ve been killed during Season 1 and get this…David Rosen who had his feet up in OPA offices!) steal the proof they need to destroy the presidency: the Cytron card!

Why wasn’t the card destroyed by OPA? Why did Olivia save it? Why was David set up for murder by the mole if he was working for the mole? Was that whole situation a lie? Or did Billy Chambers use the dead girl to blackmail David into helping him? Was Charlie working for Billy and David when he was trying to kill Olivia and stealing the Defiance case court transcripts from his “girlfriend’s” laptop? My head is spinning out of control.

Things are going to get very bad (Cyrus on the ground having a heart attack bad)! And my poor heart can’t take it. I’m having palpitations as we speak!

You want a sign of how bad? Stylist Lyn Paolo is dressing Olivia Pope in navy. Liv is always in white or pale blue or dove grey. Light colors! And ‘lest you think I’m just tripping, here’s a quote Lyn gave InStyle about the color change:

“We used darker tones in [Olivia’s] costume to reflect the dark undertones of her soon-to-be-made decisions. Olivia is torn, should Fitz give up everything for her, will it work, how can they be together without destroying his Presidency?”

Shivers. If I see her in black, I’m all out fainting.

Let’s talk about all her fashion moments this episode before I fall out, shall we?

After Cyrus stormed in on Olivia Pope and Fitz (and screamed “Get Up” like they were two teenagers caught skipping class), Livvie got dressed beside her love, President Fitzgerald Grant.

While they got ready for work together, she offered to “fix” his marriage drama while putting on these beautiful Christian Dior “Miss Dior” Spring 2013 python print calfskin pumps:

Get them here.

Liv finally left her love den with Fitz and emerged unscathed at the Olivia Pope & Associates office. And for the record, her hair showed no signs of the night before (magic!).

For her grand entrance back into the office, she wore a Salvatore Ferragamo Cream Pearl Cashmere And Wool Blend Coat (worn before in Episode 206, “Spies Like Us”):

Her actual coat is sold out, but get the look here:

And here:

Ms. Pope carried her things in a gorgeous Prada ‘Saffiano’ Tote that just screams “I mean business.” She also wore it in Episode 210 and Episode 218:

She ordered her team at OPA to find out if Sally Langston is the mole in a Christian Dior Resort 2013 Bar jacket in navy silk satin with a peplum hem:

And here are some credits from last week’s Episode 220 “A Woman Scorned”:

She protected that glorious hair in a Speedo silicone bubble cap:

Ms. Pope took a minute to breathe after storming the White House oval office in a Giorgio Armani Spring 2013 light gray tweed sport jacket:

Boy, that episode really drained everything out of me. I seriously sat on the couch and stared at the wall for like an hour after.

What are your thoughts on the mole? Is this the end of the presidency? And is Fitz really about to marry his mistress and move her into the White House (#wheretheydothatat)?

Tell me your theories in the comments.

OMG, I have been lusting after that coat since its first appearance! Thank you for settling my nerves. I may not be able to own it, but at least I know who created that fabulous piece of art.

Me too! That coat is awesome. I won’t be able to own it either (*cries*) but I found some pretty cool look for less options in the post. Will any of those work for you? Thanks for reading! xx
