Glamazon Guide: How To Last All Day In High Heels

High heels have magical powers. They make your legs look incredibly lean, your calves amazing and anything you wear look a million times better. These powers come at a price though.

Depending on the height of the heel, they can literally kill your feet. Because everyone deserves to look glamazing in a pair of towering heels, I have a few tips that might make that possible for long lengths of time.

1. Baby Steps

First, let me just say, if you do not normally wear heels don’t try to wear them all day. You will look like a hotmess.com staggering around and everyone will know your feet hurt. Start off with a lower heel, I’m talking under 3 inches, and practice walking in the shoes before you make your public debut. As you become more comfortable in heels, you can up the height.

2. Dr. Scholls is your best friend!

I like to add Dr. Scholls to the beds of my shoes to add more cushion for my tootsies. Seriously, these things are amazing!

The Dr. Scholls For Her Hidden Arch Supports, Ball of Foot Cushions and High Heel Insoles are specifically made for those killer stilettos!!! And don’t fear: Dr. Scholls For Her Open Shoe Insoles are designed so they won’t show through your sexy summer sandals.

They all range from $6-10 and are available on drscholls.com and at your local drugstore.

3. Stiletto Workout!

I can’t lie to you Glamazons, I do June Ambrose’s stiletto workout in my stilettos and I like to think that helps me last longer in high heels. Get into it below:

Oh and for fun, head over to Dr. Scholls Facebook page to take the FabulitisTM Quiz! What’s FabulitisTM, you ask? “It’s discomfort caused by the decision to wear uncomfortable, yet fabulous shoes,” says Dr. Scholl’s.

Check out these stats on how many women suffer from FabulitisTM aka pain for fabulous shoes:

–       Almost one in three women (32%) suffer from fabulitisTM at least once a week.

–       60% of women love wearing high heels because it makes them feel attractive but when fabulitisTM sets in they feel irritable and frustrated.

Action Taken when suffering from FabulitisTM:

–       58% have slipped off shoes under desk.

–       56% have slipped off shoes under a dining table.

–       50% carried a spare pair of shoe/flip flops in purse.

–       More than one third (35%) have walked home barefoot.

Sigh. Follow the tips above and FabulitisTM will be a thing of the past!

xoxo,

Glamazon Channing
