Glamazon Guide: How To Still Look Cute In The Rain

Glamazons, do you find it hard to maintain your impeccably stylish look when it’s raining cats and dogs outside? If so, you’re not alone.

I mean, it would be nice if we could have a car service and a personal umbrella (ella, ella, ay) carrier like Miss Rih Rih and could dress however we like.

But even without a car, an umbrella guy and a personal assistant, we can still master the art of looking fabulous while staying dry with these tips.

Here are a few glam essentials:

A Stylish Canvas Raincoat

This is a no brainer. The most chic option to stay dry is to top your outfit with a canvas raincoat. The rain drops will roll off of the canvas.

A trench coat is also be a great option that can be dressed up for work or down on the weekends. Also love an anorak in messy weather!

Rubber Boots

You’d be surprised how many women I have heard say they ruined suede/leather shoes in the rain (umm…what were they thinking?!). You need to add a rubber boat to your wardrobe. No one will mistake you for a college student if you chose a sophisticated color or style a la Rachel Bilson and Kelly Rowland.

A Hat With A Brim

You don’t know wet hair until you’ve had your umbrella turn inside out in the middle of a torrential downpour. That’s when I realized that a cute hat was essential during rainy days, something like what Hilary Duff and Kim Kardashian are wearing.

A hat with a brim would have protected the rain and wind whipping around my head, and if the umbrella did turn inside out, I could just tuck the ends of my hair into the hat. Genius!

A Bubble Umbrella, Ella, Ella, Ay

Perhaps my rinky-dink umbrella turning inside out was proof that I need to get a legit umbrella. One of those umbrellas that extend down past your shoulders creating a bubble. That way, my hair and makeup is safe, and I can make it to my destination and not look like a wet puppy.

Oh and it totally gives a chic, Parisian feel doesn’t it? I like this one.

I’m quite sure that these essentials will have all the cute boys trying to get under your umbrella, ella, ella, ay (ok, I’m done, promise).

xoxo,

Glamazon Channing

Really though why have I never realized that a hat with a brim is good for a drizzly day? Next rainy day I'm on it!
