It never really feels like the holidays until you start attending holiday parties. And, can I just be honest here Glamazons when I say that the parties are actually one of my most favorite reasons to celebrate the season! (Side note: Well, outside of the religious purposes of course. But, I don’t think I really want to delve into religion in the same post in which I discuss the form-fitting mini dress and heels I wore to a party chock full of liquor haha)
But, yes, tis true that I did attend an awesome holiday party this past week and I loved my look so much that I just had to tell you all about it here. My makeover process began with me freaking out about what to wear. I usually consult with Glamazon Jessica on these matters as she is a genius when it comes to finding the perfect party outfit. However, I ran out of time so I just had to go with my gut instinct as to what to wear. Which just so happened to turn an all sequined dress that from Macy’s. I can’t say that I’ve ever really given Macy’s a chance when it comes to any type of clothes outside of corporate wear, but I had a gift certificate that I hadn’t cashed in just yet. I was fairly surprised to find that there were tons of cute party dresses there!
After nabbing the dress, I then met up with my amazing hairstylist friend David Lopez who hooked me up with some glamazing hair extensions. Then, it was time for makeup so I headed on over to the MAC store in Soho for a professional makeup application. (Thanks JT!) The makeup artist gave me really cool yellow eyeshadow and out of this world eyelashes. LOVE. (Side note: I have better photos of my makeup look but they’re on a friend’s camera. So, as soon as I get them I will post! Promise!)
However, since the theme of the holiday party was 70’s chic, I had to make sure that my accessories matched the part. So, to accentuate my super fluffy Farrah Fawcett hair, I wore these really big silver earrings (from Aldo), my Marc Jacobs Daisy flower ring and big vintage orange shades.
And there you have it, Glamazons! My look for a holiday party. What do you think of it?
xoxo
