As we embark on a new year, it’s the perfect time to reflect on your life and, erm, CLOSET. Yes, your closet needs a revamp for the new year to rid yourself of trendy pieces you never wear and replenish closet staples.

Is your wardrobe ready for the new year? Here are a few staples that every Glamazon should have going into 2014.

1. Black Dress

Every woman should have a little black dress (more than one actually). A black dress can work for every occasion A  black wrap dress  is perfect for the office. A  strapless  black dress  would work for a date, or a night out with your girls.

 

2. White Button Down Blouse

Solange once said she had a closet full of white button down blouses. She swears by them. Can you blame her? A blouse adds a touch of class to your look. I suggest stocking up on a few (I’m accident prone so stains are inevitable).

 

3. Pencil Skirt

Pencil skirts aren’t considered work wear anymore. The form-fitting number can work for almost any occasion and transcends from season to season.
