Glamazons,
I capped off my birthday month with the Veuve Clicquot VC Polo Classic this year. Besides viewing the actual polo game, the #VCPoloClassic is famous for the endless stream of champagne and the fabulous summer fashion. I remember swooning over Lupita Nyongo‘s look last year from her gorgeous printed dress to her wide floppy hat. She slayed!

This year was just as fabulous. From the moment I got on the ferry at Battery Park in NYC, I spotted wedges, espadrilles, fascinators, floppy hats, fedoras, dresses, skirts and rompers galore. It was like everyone came dressed to the nines.
Held in Jersey City’s Liberty Park right behind the Statue of Liberty, the eighth annual VC Polo Classic marked the first time Veuve Clicquot introduced the Rosé Garden, which includes a complimentary bottle of Veuve Clicquot Rosé, premium views of the match from a chic setting, a $100 gift card to Saks Fifth Avenue and more perks.
I loved the Rosé garden tickets obvs because of the complimentary bottle (that came with an adorable pink jacket to keep it cold!) but also the beautiful decor and the dedicated seating. It was spacious and included tables and umbrellas. The Rosé garden also gave us the best view of the polo game and we didn’t have far to run to stomp on the divots during halftime.
We also made our way to the general section, which was populated and lively. There, I ran into people from middle school, college and my job at The Magazine and more. So much fun!
Check out some of the highlights of my first #VCPoloClassic below:
I paired my red top and skirt with a black and white stripe hat for a cool contrast. I couldn’t resist throwing in my Kate Spade ‘Pop’ clutch as a nod to popping champagne bottles.

I wanted a halo of messy blonde curls peeking out under my floppy hat so I applied Cantu Shea Butter Leave-In Conditioner, Coconut Oil and Beautiful Textures Curl Defining Mousse and did an overnight roller set. In the morning, I just fluffed and separated and threw on my hat.

I LOVED that the Rosé garden provided the option of five glasses of Veuve Clicquot champagne or a Rosé bottle. I opted for the bottle so I didn’t have to keep running back and forth to the bar, and fell in love with the pink dress that keeps it cold for up to two hours.

The best part about #VCPoloClassic was catching up with my friends! I ran into so many people I hadn’t seen in awhile and we all had a blast enjoying the polo game, the views, the sunshine and champagne. I definitely want to make it a yearly outing!
