Glamazons,

You know how obsessed we are with the Urban Decay Naked palettes over here (it’s only been in my favorites slideshow in the sidebar for like…a year now). Needless to say, I was pretty excited when I heard about the #NakedSmoky launch. It’s like my two favorite things in one glorious palette: the Urban Decay Naked brand and the smoky eye that I’ve been rocking for years, literally. As you guys know, the smoky eye is my go-to when I’m hitting the club with my friends just because I love the way it makes my eyes pop. And it’s super sexy and mysterious. Since I’ve worn it obsessively for the longest time, I’ve learned quite a few tricks on creating the perfect smoky eye.

Check them out below plus a review of the new #NakedSmoky palette!

Trick #1: Prep the lids with primer to prolong your look and help it stay in place.
Trick #2: The shadows are pretty pigmented but if you want even more saturation, you can use an eye pencil to base your eye first.

Trick #3: Hold your beauty blender diagonally to create a sharp, clean line with your eyeshadow.
Trick #4: Apply concealer after eyeshadow to clean up any loose dark shadow that may have spilled during application.

OK, why do I love the Urban Decay #NakedSmoky Palette? Let us count the ways. First, it includes nine never-before-seen shades and three exclusive. There are a diverse array of shades from warm bronze, dimensional gray, rich brown, gorgeous taupe and deep black. And the shades range from mattes to satins to sparkle. With the range of colors and finishes, you can create smoky eyes for day and night. And the double-ended brush that comes in the palette is ideal for blending and smudging.

Pick it up for $54 at Sephora, Ulta, Macys, Beauty.com and UrbanDecay.com.
