How Much Does The Weather Affect Your Hairstyle? (If Your Answer Is “Alot” Then You Need To Try These New Products From TRESemme!)

TRESemme has come up with an amazing new batch of products called Climate Control that actually really works!  Despite the fact that it’s a drugstore brand and relatively cheap, I have to say that I was rather impressed with this collection. Not just because they really work, but also because this brand took the time out to do an actual survey among real women which helped to lead them to the creation of these products. One of the most interesting points in the survey includes the fact that more than 1/3 of women between the ages of 18-34 say they don’t have their usual confidence when the weather forecast calls for a bad hair day. This totally makes sense because who wants to walk around with bad looking hair?! (Certainly not me! Yikes.)

Besides unrelenting rain, my idea of bad weather includes those super humid days in which your strands swell up to the size of Texas and make even the sleekest blow-out turn into an afro. Ugh. Unlucky for me, these past couple of weeks have been chock full of gross humid weather which was the perfect opportunity for me to test out this line of products from TRESemme. I washed my hair with the Climate Control Shampoo and Conditioner and after blowing it out and flat ironing it, sprayed it down with the Climate Control Finishing Spray.

I fought down my first initial reaction to throw on a hat once I walked outside into the gross, humid weather because I just wanted to see for myself if these hair products would do what they claimed. Each of the products contains a mixture of keratin, olive oil and UV blockers (known as Climate Control Complex) which helps to lock out humidity, UV rays, static and wind.By the time I arrived back home later that night, I was pleasantly surprised to see that my hair was still smooth, soft and (most importantly) not a huge curly ‘fro. (Side note: Don’t get me wrong! There’s absolutely nothing wrong with a curly ‘fro, but when you want it to be sleek and straight like I did that day, then everything is wrong with it lol.)

Each product in the line (shampoo, conditioner, mousse and finishing spray) retails for $4.49 and are available on shelves at a drugstore near you. Go ahead: test it out for yourself and let us know what you think after you do!
