No, my fragrance isn’t exactly a mood ring. (Side note: If they have mood rings and mood nail polish, then why isn’t there a mood fragrance?! And, if there is, why I haven’t heard about it?!) But, this new scent that I’ve been rocking fits my personality (and most of my mood) perfectly! What is it I speak of? Well, read on to find out.
Last week, I was given the opportunity to come to TOCCA’s home offices here in New York and, if you’re anything familiar with this beauty brand, of course its office reflected the same! It smelled absolutely delicious and while us bloggers feasted on yummy mini sandwiches and fruit tarts, we heard from the brands’ fragrance creators. TOCCA (which is Italian for “touch”) has some of the most beautiful set of Eau de Parfums I’ve ever sniffed and each is fittingly named after a woman. The fragrance creators broke down the notes in each fragrance and gave us the background and story behind each. At the end, we were each given the chance to choose our smell of choice.
I almost got deadlocked and asked the publicist Alexis Tedesco for two, but that’s totes tacky to ask for two goody bags! So, I chose the scent my nose first loved: Brigitte ($68.00; sephora.com). It’s inspired by the “playful and sensual beauty” of actress Brigitte Bardot. It contains top notes of Ginger, Rhubarb and Papaya; middle notes of Moroccan Rose, Iris and Saffron; and bottom notes of Sandalwood, Musk and Pannetone Accord. What I like most about it is the way it dries down on my skin. DELISH! It makes me want to jump onto a plane and get to the Italian coast. Ahhhhh…what I wouldn’t do to be able to travel more and re-create my own “I’m on a boat” moment like Brigitte pictured above. While my pathetic bank account won’t enable me to physically disappear, I’m super happy that this fragrance (and my imagination!) will.

(I washed a blanket in one of the scents called “Touch” and just as the fragrance implies, I can’t stop touching and sniffing my blanket! Love it.)
