Glamazons, every now and then the party gods of New York City spray a little extra fairy dust into the air to turn an ordinary night into extra ordinary fete to remember. Well last night was one of those nights. The biggest lesson I learned was: when Target calls Glamazons, you run and don’t walk to attend any of their exclusive events.
Last week was the final installation of the three part rom-com web series starring the ridiculosly gorgeous Nia Long, stylish Kristen Bell and cutie Zachary Abel. Entitled “Falling for You,” the Target-released series follows Kristen’s character as she balances her budding romance with her co-worker Zachary with whom she shares a secret past with.
Nia plays the impossibly tough boss of both Kristen and Zachary’s character adding a hilarious layer of complexity. The interactive show allows users to purchase clothes won by the characters as the video plays. Watching a chic web show and being able to shop at the same time? Now that is winning, Glamazons!
Now back to the party, well, where do I start? Prior to making my way into the main area in Terminal 5, my shoes (which I paired with a leather dress from H&M) were more than happy to change from hitting the concrete pavement to gliding across the plush red carpet that lead to the entrance of the party.
I immediately spotted Roc Nation singer Melanie Fiona and her fabulous blonde hair. The singer was wearing effortlessly chic patterned pants and a black top finishing the look with black booties.
I snapped a pic of Melanie‘s shoes, cute right?
I also spotted red carpet kutie Daisy Lewellyn, “A Belle in Brooklyn” author Demetria Lucas, entertainment maven Bevy Smith and many other movers and shakers.
Target outdid themselves with the eye-catching decorations featuring the signature bull’s eye all over Terminal 5. The party lasted about two hours and Target made sure that the tasty drinks were flowing and the mouth watering finger food was in abundance.
After we watched the short clip of the finale of “Falling For You,” the audience was treated to a high energy/ live music dance set that seriously left my mouth agape. I was standing next to Image activist Michaela Angela Davis and we both couldn’t believe our eyes.
The dancers took a cue from Lionel Richie and were dancing on the ceiling, the walls and even diagonally across the stage. It was definitely a sight to behold and the confetti at the end of the dance set was the perfect way to end the night.
I also got to meet Condola Rashad, Phylicia Rashad‘s daughter who did a glamazing job acting in “Steel Magnolias” on Lifetime. She was a sweetheart!
Here she is on the red carpet posing and laughing with Nia Long.
How cute!
Thank you to The Glamazons for allowing to cover this event, and ahem…Target whenever you call, I will be there!
Fun times!
Smooches,
Glamazon Makho
