Glamazons,
Whew! New York Fashion Week has only just begun and my head is already spinning! Editors, bloggers, and fashion enthusiasts alike are trekking around New York City to see designers debut their Spring 2015 collections. The first few days of #NYFW saw soft color palettes, chanteuse gowns, and Spring-appropriate floral frocks.
The collection that stood out the most to me? Tadashi Shoji who sent Venetian-inspired gowns down the runway to the delight of attendees like June Ambrose and Jay Manuel.
Aren’t they cool?!
Here Are All the Deets for Tadashi Shoji’s Spring 2015 Collection:
Inspiration:
Inspired by the architecture of C’ad’Oro Golden Palace on the Grand Canal in Venice, Italy, the city’s historical and artistic elements served as blueprint for a collection that featured a perfect mixture of elegant demure and bold drama. Tadashi on his inspiration: “It was the reflection of the palace on the water that inspired me.”
Styled by Rodney Cutler, the models further pushed the ancient theme with hair that was parted in the center and slicked into a braided chignon. Pep Gay completed the Venetian princess vibe by applying neutral tones and coral lips for a fresh-faced look.
