Glamazons, did you watch the first episode of VH1’s Single Ladies Season 2? Admittedly, last season was one big slow clap for me. It took me a while to get into the show but once I did, I might have been a closet fan. The clothes held me over where the plot and the girls’ acting left off. Plus, there was Stacey Dash. So when it was announced that Stacey-My-Black-Don’t-Crack-Dash left the show (and actress Denise Vasi would become the third lady), I wasn’t sure how it would do.
We found out on Monday when season two of the series, featuring Lisa-Raye McCoy (Keisha), Denise Vasi (Raquel) and Charity Shea (April), premiered. While the show was entertaining, I wasn’t blown away by the plot. Were you?
Also, the wardrobe is a lot less refined and sophisticated (think Val’s work wardrobe) and a lot more young and trendy…not that anything’s wrong with that. High hemlines, higher heels, lots of florals, neons and colorblocking paraded across our TV screens. And plenty of bodycon dresses. That’s a nice way to show how all those winter workouts whipped your bawdeee into shape, I suppose.
So with that said, we are totes glam-spired to werque this look at the many summer parties we’ll soon be attending. Are you?
